Goals and quality

Objective of the Concertkoor Haarlem is to perform a broad variety of choir works on a high level. We all work hard for that.

In order to maintain the quality of the choir, we work on the quality of all members. Therefore we take a vocal test from every aspirant member. In many cases we advise additional vocal coaching. The quality is safeguarded by regular vocal tests every member has to undergo with the conductor and an independent vocal pedagogue. We expect that advices from the vocal test are respected and followed up. Next to that we regularly organise workshops for the whole choir. This not only improves the voice and vocal development, but it also is pleasant and chummy.

Don’t be discouraged. We want don’t expect you being an experiences choir singer. Engagement and enthusiasm is more important to us. Experience in a choir and knowledge of sheet music are of course ideal.
